Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Level 3

The lead adult care worker role is crucial to high quality adult care and support provision. Lead adult care workers work directly with users of services in a range of care and support settings including day care, residential care, dementia services, learning disabilities services and also in individuals’ own homes.

The standard is also designed to support those workers employed by individuals as Lead Personal Assistants. The lead adult care role includes the additional responsibilities of providing leadership guidance and direction at the point of delivery of care and support. The lead adult care worker may have delegated responsibility for supervision, direction of others and associated levels of autonomy and accountability.
